Technicolor, Topcolor, New Dynamics at
the TeV Scale
A continuing workshop with the goal of
exploring signatures and discovery strategies
for New Strong Dynamics in Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron.
Our last two-day meeting was held at Fermilab on April
9-10, 1999
The April meeting followed our
initial meeting in October 1998.
We anticipate a concluding meeting in the spring of 2000.
The following working groups first met during the October meeting
and form the basis of the continuing activies of the Workshop:
- Technicolor
Convenors:
Greg Landsberg and
Kenneth Lane
This group will cover signatures for color-singlet and color-octet
techihadrons in the minimal "straw man" technicolor model (as
implemented in PYTHIA, for example).
- Topcolor Convenors:
Robert Harris and
Sekhar Chivukula
This group covers topcolor-assisted technicolor and the new ideas
of topcolor seesaw models, together with their experimental signatures
(top-pions, top-gluons, Z', higgs-type scalars, etc.)
- Compositeness Convenors:
Kaori Maeshima and
Chris Hill
This group covers such things as contact terms and excited fermions,
but may also address strong SUSY, excitations associated with extra dimensions,
and any other topics which don't fit into the other two categories. Topics
covered will depend to some extent on the participants involved.
