PASREC - Irwin Gaines summarized the PASREC meeting of the previous week which went over the conclusions reached during the 3 week period when the extended PASREC working group had intensively been looking at ROOT and working with Rene Brun. Network Hardware - Keith Chadwick gave a status report on activities related to procurement and planning for Network Hardware for Run II.
Database Technical Investigations - ODBC - Eric Wicklund talked about the use of ODBC at CDF and requested that this become an officially supported tool for Run II.
Database Technical Investigations - ODBC & other tools - Denis Box presented further details on ODBC, both its features and supportability, in the UNIX world. He also discussed other tools and free-ware database products (apart form msql) which are perhaps worth investigation
Database Technical Investigations - SAM and CORBA - Matt Vranicar discussed an implementation of a database server, using CORBA connected clients, which is being prototyped in the SAM project.
